A few things were changed for the first post-war Series 62 including shape and location of the driving lights, slightly changed bumpers and a new front logo which placed the Cadillac crest in a large V. All Series 62 cars were powered by Cadillac's L-head V8 which was capable of 150 hp.
In 1946, Cadillac was finished with war-time production and began selling motor cars with a great demand and short supply.
